Free Heart Stables

Free Heart Stables is a boutique training barn located at the prestigious Gilroy Gaits in Hollister, CA. We primarily compete on the Hunter Jumper circuit, but our foundation in dressage and natural horsemanship allows us to help a wide variety of clients with varied needs. Our mission is to provide a place where equines are given the best-possible care with a focus on their mental, physical, and emotional health. Each horse in our program is treated like our own, ensuring that their individual needs are met throughout their training and daily care. We hold the same standards for our students by ensuring we provide a fun, relaxed, and safe environment for you to learn.

Maggi Stables

Merin was born and raised in the Bay Area. At the age of 6 she fell in love with horses, more specifically the Morgan horse, and never looked back!  Winning multiple world and National titles as a Junior Exhibitor, she knew showing horses was more than just a hobby, they were her passion. Deciding to follow her dreams and make training a career, she moved to Maine and took the job as assistant trainer at RAND, one of the nations premier show barns.  It provided her the opportunity to develop her skills and manage a large program. While it was a great learning experience, she always knew she wanted to have her own business in California. In 2011 at the age of 21, Merin opened her operation, Maggi Stables. And thanks to many loyal customers, great  horses and a huge support system, the business has established itself as a top program with many World, National and Regional champions.  From Junior horses to Junior Exhibitors and everything in between, Maggi Stables offers training /instruction in a wide variety of disciplines. Always with the focus on safe, sound horses and happy clients!
