Nicole Perry: Dressage

Nicole Perry has achieved some of the countries highest awards, both as a young rider and a professional. She won 3 team gold medals, individual silver and bronze at the Junior Olympics (NAYRC) aboard 2 different horses (Masterpiece and Batido) thru 1996-1999. In 2000, the first year she turned professional, she took both Batido and Masterpiece to the Grand Prix level and was long listed with both horses for the United States Equestrian Team.

As a professional she has achieved the United States Dressage Federation bronze, silver and gold medal for riding to the highest level of dressage, the grand prix. She was short listed for the United States Equestrian Team in 2004 on Rubino Bellissimo and also in 2000 with both masterpiece and Batido. Nicole has not only trained many different horses to the top of the levels, she has had some of the worlds finest coaches by her side.

Nicole has been invited many times to the USET training sessions to work with both Klause Baulkenhaul and Debbie Mcdonald who work to develop horses for the international level for the United States. She also works with the legendary Conrad Schumacher of Germany, who has been helping her since the age of 15. Also Steffen Peters and Jan Ebeling have been very influential in her training. Nicole has qualified over 20 different horses to the CDS/USDF horse of the year championships. She has trained 5 horses from 1st level all the way to Grand Prix. In 2006 she was 3rd in the 5 year old west coast FEI west coast young horse selection trials which she won 2 years prior on the stallion, Contester.

Leone Equestrians, Inc. was started in 1974 when Rudy Leone moved from Switzerland to Northern California. Being European, he started importing Warmbloods from Europe in 1980. He quickly created a reputation unlike any other for his amazingly good eye for horses. Leone now imports an average of 100 horses per year, and has winning horses and riders in every division up to the Grand Prix level. He is currently operating on a 100 acre facility where he not only runs his buying, selling, and consignment horse business, but also a beginner riding school, boarding and training facility, and travels to “A” shows with a number of his clients. As he remains committed to horses in every aspect of the business, he describes his success as “30 years unsurpassed in Quality and Value.”

Walter and Justin Wright: Working your Young Horse

Wright’s Quarter Horses is located in the heart of California’s central coast. The Wright’s breed, raise, train and sell champion reined cow horses, cutting and reining horses. Walter and Sharon were both raised on ranches and have been involved with horses all of their lives. Their love for horses has carried through to their son and partner, Justin.

In addition to their breeding program Walt and Sharon also keep a full schedule of riding lessons. Walt’s non pros learn the intricacies of the reined work as well as working cattle, while Sharon handles the children and beginners. Justin, along with our ranch help, starts all of the two year olds and keeps his show horses in shape. Walt and our working men train the outside horses that come in for training.
