Katie has earned her USDF Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals as well as USDF Gold, Silver and Bronze Freestyle Bars. She has won many USDF All-Breed Championships and CDS/USDF Championship Awards with her own horses as well as client horses. She has graduated USDF “L” Judging Program with distinction. She had ridden with a number of top international trainers and Olympic riders. Currently she and KM Dressage students have to opportunity to work with retired O-judge and active S-judge Axel Steiner.

 

Along with being a successful competitor to Grand Prix, Katie takes pride in developing horses and riders, regardless of their competitive aspirations. She works with all skill level of riders, all breeds of horses, young horse to Grand Prix, mares, geldings, stallions. Her utmost goal for each rider is to build a confident, trusting relationship with his/her horse through Basics and effective rider understanding so that both horse and rider enjoy their “jobs.”

 

 

Meet Erik Martin

Erik has been starting horses for over 20 years. He has competed many years in Working Cow horse and Cutting competitions, including World’s Richest and many Snaffle Bit Futurities with much success riding many well know horses and their off-spring.

Katie and Erik believe the best way to set up a horse for success for the rest of his career is by giving him a good start as a young horse. Erik strives to teach his young horses ride ability, trainability, and confidence. He clearly explains to his horses their “job” so they know what is expected of them and develops confidence in the horse. Erik works with all breeds of horses and their owners, in the saddle and on the ground, to help build a lifelong relationship of understanding and respect for both parties. Erik has a clear understanding of what is required of dressage or jumping horse as well as a horse headed for any western discipline, ensuring your horse gets the best start possible. Erik’s experience and understanding brings a fresh view and strong foundation to all our dressage horses and riders.

Brendon Clark Performance Horsemanship is proudly owned and operated by National Reined Cow Horse Association professional and AQHA World Show Qualifier, Brendon Clark. While Brendon’s program specializes in colt starting and training reining, cutting, ranch versatility and rope horses, his primary focus is training and showing performance horses at the highest level of the reined cow horse industry.

 

​Featured numerous times for his rapid success and countless achievements in Quarter Horse Magazine, Brendon Clark has been a two time NRCHA Limited Open Derby champion, an NRCHA Limited Open Stallion Stakes champion, NRCHA level 1 Limited Open Derby champion and a Snaffle Bit Futurity Limited Open Finalist. Outside of the National Reined Cowhorse Association, Brendon’s horses have seen success at local club cuttings and AQHA events.

 

In addition to his own success, Brendon Clark has a strong and successful Non-Pro program where every client and their horse is given the individualized attention and training they need to reach their optimal potential in and out of the showpen. Brendon’s Non-Pro’s have had tremendous success in reining, cow horse and cutting at NRCHA, AQHA and California Cow Horse Association shows across the West Coast.

Merin was born and raised in the Bay Area. At the age of 6 she fell in love with horses, more specifically the Morgan horse, and never looked back!  Winning multiple world and National titles as a Junior Exhibitor, she knew showing horses was more than just a hobby, they were her passion.

 

Deciding to follow her dreams and make training a career, she moved to Maine and took the job as assistant trainer at RAND, one of the nations premier show barns.  It provided her the opportunity to develop her skills and manage a large program. While it was a great learning experience, she always knew she wanted to have her own business in California.

 

In 2011 at the age of 21, Merin opened her operation, Maggi Stables. And thanks to many loyal customers, great horses and a huge support system, the business has established itself as a top program with many World, National and Regional champions.  From Junior horses to Junior Exhibitors and everything in between, Maggi Stables offers training /instruction in a wide variety of disciplines.
