Katie has earned her USDF Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals, as well as USDF Gold, Silver and Bronze Freestyle bars. She has won many USDF All-Breed championships, Silver Stirrup championships and CDS/USDF Championship Awards in the past 15 years with her own horses as well as client horses.Along with being a successful competitor to Grand Prix, Katie takes pride in developing horses and riders, regardless of their competitive aspirations. She works with all skill levels of riders, all breeds of horses, young horse to Grand Prix, mares, geldings, stallions. Her utmost goal for each rider is to build a confident, trusting relationship with his/her horse through Basics and effective rider- position understanding so that both horse and rider enjoy their "jobs".
Katie works alongside her husband, Erik Martin. Erik has been starting horses for over 15 years. He has competed many years in Working Cowhorse and Cutting, including World's Richest and many Snaffle Bit Futurities with much success riding many well-known horses and their offspring.
